CONGRATULATIONS TO CASL'S PRESIDENT DR. CARLA COFFIN TO RECEIVE THE KING CHARLES III CORONATION MEDAL

The Canadian Liver Foundation selected CASL's President Dr. Carla Coffin as an esteemed recipient of the King Charles III Coronation Medal.

This prestigious honour was created to commemorate the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III, which took place on May 6, 2023. It is the first Canadian commemorative medal to mark a coronation, and only 30,000 Canadians are being presented with this honour.

We thank you for being an exemplary leader in hepatitis B research and for playing a pivotal role in establishing the Canadian Hepatitis B Research Network. Your accomplishment valued by your peers and the Liver Community are numerous such as your work on mother-to-child transmission, innovative imaging, and clinical trials that has advanced HBV understanding and treatment in Canada are all worthy for you to have this recognition bestowed upon you.

On behalf of our entire team – congratulations! We hope this honour inspires you to continue your exceptional work. Together, we are changing the future of liver health in Canada.
