Nomination Requirements
• Awardees must be CASL members
• Members currently serving on the CASL Education Committee are not eligible for nomination
Selection Criteria
The CASL Education Committee will evaluate candidates based on their fulfilment of the following criteria, which should be addressed within the nomination submission:
1. Development and/or implementation of educational innovation and programs at local, provincial and national level
2. Scholarly activities in medical education (e.g., research, scientific presentations in medical education at local, provincial and national meetings)
3. Leadership in medical education (local, provincial or national)
4. Demonstration of administrative abilities and duties at the local, provincial or national or international levels
5. Excellence in teaching
Nomination requirements
Nomination submissions should be uploaded by September 30, 2024 and must include:
1. Letter of nomination, addressing why the nominated candidate fulfils the criteria above.
2. Two additional letters of support for the nomination. One letter of support must come from within the nominee’s institution. These letters should address why the nominated candidate fulfils the criteria above.
3. The nominee’s complete curriculum vitae.
The award is presented at the CASL Annual Awards Ceremony, which occurs in conjunction with the Canadian Liver Meeting (CLM).
Nominations for the 2025 CASL Education Excellence Award are now open – Submission deadline: September 30, 2024.
