The Canadian Association for the Study of the Liver does not provide referrals or directory information for hepatologists in Canada.
Should you require a liver specialist, please consult with your family doctor for a referral.
Canadian Hepatitis B Peer Support Group (CanHepB PSG)
The CanHepB PSG is an initiative developed in 2025 under the direction of Dr. Hin Hin Ko and Nurse Practitioner Colina Yim (retired). This development is modelled after the Toronto Centre for Liver Disease Liver Clinic Hep B PSG that has been successfully implemented since 2010. This patient support group aims to unify patients facing the health challenges of chronic hepatitis B to form a community regardless of the diversity of patients’ background.

- To provide a platform for patients with hepatitis B across the country to connect and find support
- To enrich patients and families’ understanding of their hepatitis B disease through education programs
- To empower patients to manage their disease well through shared knowledge
- To help create a collective patients’ voice to fight against hepatitis B
