Baveno Consensus Workshop Collaboration Grant
Are you interested in portal hypertension and advancing the consensus on definitions and guidelines in patient treatment?
We are pleased to offer one lucky CASL member the chance to attend the upcoming Baveno VIII Consensus Workshop in Baveno, Italy, taking place March 27 – 28, 2026. The Baveno Workshop aims both to reviewing and putting into perspective the changes in diagnostic and therapeutic strategies that have occurred in the past few years in the field of portal hypertension, and to continuing the effort of producing updated definitions and guidelines for an improved management of patients.
The programme will feature a number of scientific sessions on selected topics. According to the Baveno tradition, at the end of the discussion of each session, updated consensus statements will be presented and discussed by the Panels and the Audience.
The travel grant recipient will receive a $2,500 CAD travel grant (to be reimbursed following the conference).
In addition to the opportunity to attend the conference, the selected recipient will attend the workshop and present their insights in a co-hosted CASL webinar with Dr. Juan Abraldes following the meeting.

To be eligible, applicants must be:
- A current CASL Member
- A trainee or early career researcher or clinician (working in the field for less than 5 years)
