{"id":4370,"date":"2024-09-14T14:51:23","date_gmt":"2024-09-14T14:51:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hepatology.ca\/?p=4370"},"modified":"2024-09-26T13:45:05","modified_gmt":"2024-09-26T13:45:05","slug":"casl-2020-2021-fellowship-elise-vuille-experience","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hepatology.ca\/fr\/2024\/09\/14\/casl-2020-2021-fellowship-elise-vuille-experience\/","title":{"rendered":"H\u00e9patologie, COVID-19 et les Alpes suisses : mon exp\u00e9rience de bourse CASL 2020-2021 \u00e0 l&#039;h\u00f4pital universitaire de Berne"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Chers candidats,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il y a cinq ans, j\u2019\u00e9tais dans votre situation et je pr\u00e9sentais une demande de bourse de recherche de l\u2019ACSF. \u00c0 l\u2019\u00e9poque, j\u2019avais termin\u00e9 ma formation en gastroent\u00e9rologie \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al et ma formation en m\u00e9decine interne \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 McGill, et je me pr\u00e9parais \u00e0 effectuer un stage de deux ans \u00e0 l\u2019h\u00f4pital universitaire de Berne, en Suisse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>C\u2019est un peu le hasard qui m\u2019a amen\u00e9 \u00e0 faire mon fellowship \u00e0 Berne. C\u2019est la Dre Giada Sebastiani, avec qui j\u2019avais fait des recherches \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 McGill, qui m\u2019a mis en contact avec la Dre Annalisa Berzigotti, h\u00e9patologue \u00e0 l\u2019h\u00f4pital universitaire de Berne. Nous nous sommes rencontr\u00e9es par la suite au congr\u00e8s de l\u2019EASL \u00e0 Vienne en 2019 et j\u2019ai tout de suite vu en Annalisa de grandes qualit\u00e9s de mentor et j\u2019ai \u00e9t\u00e9 attir\u00e9e par son domaine d\u2019expertise (hypertension portale, m\u00e9thodes non invasives d\u2019\u00e9valuation des maladies du foie et nutrition et exercice physique dans la cirrhose). Lorsqu\u2019elle m\u2019a propos\u00e9 de rejoindre son \u00e9quipe \u00e0 Berne, j\u2019ai accept\u00e9 sans h\u00e9siter. Avec la nationalit\u00e9 suisse et des attaches familiales dans la r\u00e9gion, j\u2019avais l\u2019impression que les \u00e9toiles s\u2019\u00e9taient parfaitement align\u00e9es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En arrivant \u00e0 Berne en janvier 2020, je ne savais pas que quelques mois apr\u00e8s le d\u00e9but de mon programme, la pand\u00e9mie de COVID-19 allait paralyser le monde ! Ma premi\u00e8re ann\u00e9e de bourse, consacr\u00e9e \u00e0 la recherche clinique (et la deuxi\u00e8me ann\u00e9e \u00e0 la pratique clinique en h\u00e9patologie, car j\u2019ai d\u00fb apprendre l\u2019allemand entre-temps !), a \u00e9t\u00e9 particuli\u00e8rement impact\u00e9e, car le personnel non clinique a \u00e9t\u00e9 pri\u00e9 de rester chez lui et la priorit\u00e9 a \u00e9t\u00e9 donn\u00e9e \u00e0 la recherche sur la COVID-19, ce qui a limit\u00e9 les perspectives de lancer de nouvelles \u00e9tudes cliniques dans d\u2019autres domaines. Cette exp\u00e9rience d\u2019isolement social m\u2019a appris quelque chose d\u2019important sur la recherche : \u00e0 quel point la collaboration et le travail d\u2019\u00e9quipe sont essentiels \u00e0 chaque \u00e9tape, du brainstorming \u00e0 la direction des projets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 Annalisa et \u00e0 son vaste r\u00e9seau, j&#039;ai pu contribuer \u00e0 plusieurs projets pendant le confinement. L&#039;un d&#039;entre eux \u00e9tait une collaboration europ\u00e9enne sur l&#039;h\u00e9modynamique h\u00e9patique, qui a donn\u00e9 lieu \u00e0 des publications dans <em>Journal d&#039;H\u00e9patologie<\/em> et <em>Gastroent\u00e9rologie et h\u00e9patologie cliniques<\/em>. J&#039;ai \u00e9galement co\u00e9crit plusieurs articles de synth\u00e8se et chapitres de livres sur l&#039;\u00e9valuation non invasive des maladies h\u00e9patiques, ainsi que sur les interventions di\u00e9t\u00e9tiques et d&#039;exercice physique dans la cirrhose. Ces exp\u00e9riences m&#039;ont aid\u00e9 \u00e0 acqu\u00e9rir une expertise en recherche et en clinique n\u00e9cessaire \u00e0 une carri\u00e8re en h\u00e9patologie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Au-del\u00e0 de la recherche, la bourse m&#039;a donn\u00e9 l&#039;opportunit\u00e9 d&#039;\u00e9largir mon r\u00e9seau professionnel en participant et en pr\u00e9sentant des conf\u00e9rences, telles que les congr\u00e8s de l&#039;EASL et de l&#039;Association suisse pour l&#039;\u00e9tude du foie, et en participant \u00e0 l&#039;une des \u00e9coles de l&#039;EASL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il y a beaucoup plus que je pourrais dire sur mon exp\u00e9rience de bourse, mais j&#039;esp\u00e8re que ce bref t\u00e9moignage vous encouragera \u00e0 postuler pour la bourse. <a href=\"https:\/\/hepatology.ca\/fr\/education-events\/clinical-fellowships\/\">Bourse CASL 2025-2026<\/a> et envisagez une carri\u00e8re en h\u00e9patologie.
