Fond\u00e9e il y a plus de 25 ans, l\u2019ACEF est pass\u00e9e de modestes d\u00e9buts \u00e0 une voix de premier plan en h\u00e9patologie au Canada.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Notre histoire<br \/>\n<\/b>L&#039;ACSF est issue du Club canadien du foie, fond\u00e9 en 1977 par un groupe d&#039;h\u00e9patologues et de chercheurs passionn\u00e9s. Le Club \u00e9tait un groupe informel ax\u00e9 sur les int\u00e9r\u00eats intellectuels et sociaux de ses membres. Parmi les personnalit\u00e9s cl\u00e9s de sa fondation figuraient Murray \u00ab Woody \u00bb Fisher et Carl Goresky, qui ont reconnu la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 d&#039;une organisation canadienne d\u00e9di\u00e9e \u00e0 la sant\u00e9 du foie. La premi\u00e8re r\u00e9union du Club canadien du foie a eu lieu \u00e0 Toronto en janvier 1977 et a rapidement pris de l&#039;ampleur, attirant des membres de tout le pays.<\/p>\n<p>En 1984, les membres du Club canadien du foie ont constat\u00e9 la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de se doter d\u2019une organisation plus formelle pour mieux soutenir le domaine en pleine croissance de l\u2019h\u00e9patologie. Cette d\u00e9cision a men\u00e9 \u00e0 la transformation du Club en Association canadienne pour l\u2019\u00e9tude du foie (AC\u00c9F) en 1985. La r\u00e9union inaugurale de l\u2019AC\u00c9F a eu lieu \u00e0 Chicago, marquant le d\u00e9but d\u2019une nouvelle \u00e8re dans la recherche et l\u2019\u00e9ducation sur les maladies du foie au Canada.<\/p>\n<p><b>\u00c9tapes cl\u00e9s de notre parcours<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b style=\"background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5); font-size: 1rem;\">1977<\/b><span style=\"background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5); font-size: 1rem;\">:Formation du Canadian Liver Club, un groupe informel d\u00e9di\u00e9 \u00e0 la sant\u00e9 du foie.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b style=\"background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5); font-size: 1rem;\">1985<\/b><span style=\"background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5); font-size: 1rem;\">:Transformation en Association canadienne pour l\u2019\u00e9tude du foie (ACEF) avec l\u2019adoption d\u2019une constitution et de r\u00e8glements officiels.<br \/>\n<\/span><b style=\"background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5); font-size: 1rem;\">1988<\/b><span style=\"background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5); font-size: 1rem;\">:H\u00f4te de la prestigieuse conf\u00e9rence de l&#039;Association internationale pour l&#039;\u00e9tude du foie (IASL) \u00e0 Toronto, ce qui a consid\u00e9rablement accru la visibilit\u00e9 et la r\u00e9putation de l&#039;ACL sur la sc\u00e8ne internationale.<br \/>\n<\/span><b style=\"background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5); font-size: 1rem;\">1990<\/b><span style=\"background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5); font-size: 1rem;\">:Cr\u00e9ation du prix Andrew Sass-Kortsak par la Fondation canadienne du foie, en l\u2019honneur d\u2019une figure pionni\u00e8re de l\u2019h\u00e9patologie.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>&nbsp;<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Notre mission<br \/>\n<\/b>Chez CASL, nous nous engageons \u00e0 :<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Promouvoir la recherche<\/b>:Soutenir des initiatives de recherche innovantes pour d\u00e9couvrir de nouveaux traitements et am\u00e9liorer les r\u00e9sultats des patients.<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>\u00c9ducation et formation<\/b>:Fournir des ressources \u00e9ducatives compl\u00e8tes et des programmes de formation aux professionnels de la sant\u00e9 pour am\u00e9liorer leurs connaissances et leurs comp\u00e9tences en h\u00e9patologie.<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Plaidoyer<\/b>:D\u00e9fendre des politiques et des pratiques qui soutiennent la sant\u00e9 du foie et am\u00e9liorent l\u2019acc\u00e8s aux soins pour les patients atteints de maladies du foie.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Notre vision<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-size: revert; background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5);\">Nous envisageons un avenir o\u00f9 les maladies du foie seront g\u00e9r\u00e9es efficacement et finalement \u00e9radiqu\u00e9es. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 nos efforts, nous visons \u00e0 :<\/span><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Faire progresser les connaissances scientifiques<\/b>:Faciliter la recherche r\u00e9volutionnaire qui m\u00e8ne \u00e0 une compr\u00e9hension plus approfondie des maladies du foie.<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Am\u00e9liorer les soins aux patients<\/b>: Veiller \u00e0 ce que les patients re\u00e7oivent le plus haut niveau de soins gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la formation continue et au d\u00e9veloppement professionnel des prestataires de soins de sant\u00e9.<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>Sensibiliser<\/b>:Accro\u00eetre la sensibilisation du public \u00e0 la sant\u00e9 du foie et \u00e0 l\u2019importance de la d\u00e9tection pr\u00e9coce et de la pr\u00e9vention des maladies du foie.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b><br \/>\nNotre communaut\u00e9<br \/>\n<\/b>L\u2019ACSF est une communaut\u00e9 dynamique de professionnels d\u00e9vou\u00e9s, notamment des h\u00e9patologues, des chercheurs, des cliniciens et des professionnels param\u00e9dicaux.
