Le prix de la m\u00e9daille d'or CASL-Liver Canada r\u00e9compense une personne ayant apport\u00e9 une contribution exceptionnelle \u00e0 la recherche sur le foie.

Chaque ann\u00e9e, l\u2019Association canadienne de scl\u00e9rose en plaques (ACSP) invite ses membres \u00e0 soumettre des candidatures pour la M\u00e9daille d\u2019or ACSP-Foie Canada, qui r\u00e9compense des r\u00e9alisations exceptionnelles en recherche et en sciences h\u00e9patologiques. Le comit\u00e9 ex\u00e9cutif de l\u2019ACSP soumet sa candidature (s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9e par le comit\u00e9 de l\u2019\u00e9ducation) au comit\u00e9 consultatif m\u00e9dical de Foie Canada pour examen et approbation par le conseil d\u2019administration national de Foie Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Histoire<\/span><\/strong>La M\u00e9daille d'or (anciennement M\u00e9daille d'or CASL-Foie Canada) a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9e par la Fondation canadienne du foie en 1983 dans le cadre d'un programme de parrainage de conf\u00e9rences. Le r\u00e9cipiendaire, un scientifique ayant apport\u00e9 ou apportant une contribution exceptionnelle \u00e0 la recherche sur le foie, \u00e9tait invit\u00e9 \u00e0 titre de conf\u00e9rencier invit\u00e9 au congr\u00e8s annuel du Coll\u00e8ge royal des m\u00e9decins et chirurgiens et recevait une M\u00e9daille d'or. M. Carl Grant a financ\u00e9 la conception et la production de la premi\u00e8re M\u00e9daille d'or. Le premier r\u00e9cipiendaire fut le Dr Jean-Pierre Benhamou, de Paris, en France. Aujourd'hui, la m\u00e9daille est d\u00e9cern\u00e9e annuellement et le r\u00e9cipiendaire est invit\u00e9 \u00e0 pr\u00e9senter une conf\u00e9rence sur sa carri\u00e8re et son parcours dans la recherche sur le foie lors du Congr\u00e8s canadien du foie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
